After we decoded the recently-uploaded page from Schoenberg’s notebook, things have been moving on at a rapid pace.

Over on Rach’s blog, Tilly has put together a really interesting theory which she outlines in a couple of comments.

From what I gather (I didn’t know him (obviously), but from the things people have said and written) your uncle was a good man and would never intentionally harm anyone, therfore my conclusion is he was there for his own scientific research and that Prometha had him followed (knowing that he was probably onto something, they would have at least known he was an excellent scientist. I would have thought they would know he wouldn’t go all the way to Peru without at least some evidence that there was something interesting there) and stole his ideas\work and then tried to destroy the evidence.

So - how do we get concrete evidence?

I think what I’m thinking of doing is justified by the facts of the case. We’ve come this far, I think we owe it to ourselves to see this through despite the risks.

   As tempting as it is please don’t do anything foolish without thinking it through properly (I think you know what I mean). There is possibly a way of getting a sample from Prometha totally legally (well maybe make an attempt at this way first) which is to say you are working for a biotech company and you are interested in MAL. It is possible (if they have already done all the intellectual property (patent) stuff and if they think you can do something for them that they will send you a sample (sending out free samples is a big thing with biotechs, especially if they think they have a chance of you doing something for them\buying a lot of stuff from them).
   Obviously the other thing you could do is use Aalias code card to break in (not that I would advocate that particular idea) because I am convinced that the card you found with her name on it is a lab pass (I’ve had a couple in my time). OR you could go to the police, however that has it’s own problems (if Woodburn finds out the police are onto him he might try and do something silly such as destroy the evidence).

   I forgot to add that although people will send samples out I think that it might be unlikely in this case! After all I think Woodburn has killed to keep this stuff secret…

   again my comment would be “please be careful” these people are nasty and apparantly have no qualms about killing people who get in their way.
